Ensuring the safety and effectiveness of your electrical systems

Whilst implementing a robust power system is important, the health and safety of those within your property and in close contact with the equipment should not become a second priority. Contactors and overload relays can add an extra level of security to your system, offering peace of mind that the power will be controlled in the event of an overload.

Schneider Electric is our manufacturer of choice, having dedicated many years to the design and creation of these essential components. As experts in energy management and automation, Greenville Electrical can supply Schneider’s products to Belfast and the wider UK with confidence.

Contactors

Designed to handle the switching of heavy electrical loads, contactors use electromagnetic coil operation to control contacts that open and close to allow or interrupt the flow of an electrical current. This is particularly useful for HVAC systems, lighting controls and many industrial processes, offering a switch to quickly turn the circuit on or off.

Overload relays

Should damage be caused by a high-power load, your overload relay is crucial to protect the circuit, surrounding environment and your system as a whole. The overload relay offers thermal protection and a trip mechanism that will disconnect the power should an issue occur, configured to the motor’s specific current.
